Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 July 2026

OrchardIQ is provided by Kupriq, a sole trader business operated by Glen (contact below) — not a registered company. This policy explains what information OrchardIQ collects when you or your orchard business use the app, and how it's handled.

What we collect

  • Your name and email address, via our authentication provider (Clerk), when you sign in.
  • Whatever your organisation enters into the app to manage compliance — orchard blocks, staff records, field reports, spray and harvest logs, and similar records.
  • Photos and documents you choose to upload, for evidence or compliance records (e.g. hazard reports, test certificates).
  • Emails your organisation forwards to its OrchardIQ inbox address, if you use that feature.
  • A device push token, if you use the iOS app and enable notifications — used only to deliver alerts to your device.

What we don't collect

OrchardIQ does not track your location, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and does not sell or share your data with advertisers.

How it's used

Your data is used to operate the app for your organisation — storing your compliance records, sending you the notifications you've configured, and nothing else. We don't use it for any purpose beyond running the service you've signed up for.

Who we share it with

OrchardIQ relies on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Railway — application hosting and database.
  • UploadThing — storage for uploaded photos and documents.
  • Resend — sending notification emails and receiving forwarded compliance emails.
  • Backblaze — encrypted, access-restricted database backups.
  • Apple — delivering push notifications to the iOS app, if you use it.

None of these providers use your data for their own purposes — they process it only to provide the service to OrchardIQ.

Data retention and backups

Your records are kept for as long as your organisation uses OrchardIQ. Nightly backups are retained for 30 days for disaster recovery. If your organisation stops using the app, you can request deletion of your data by contacting us below.

Children's privacy

OrchardIQ is a business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
